Nation Family Houses 1

My great great grandfather William Nation was a barrister, a banker and a Deputy Lieutenant for Devon. 35 Southernhaye, close to the cathedral, was his town house and was known as the Double House.  He also owned Rockbeare Manor outside Exeter and North Petherton Manor. The Double House was sold after he died and the proceeds of it and North Petherton were split amongst his second family. It is now a 'boutique' hotel. There is a memorial to his second wife (my great great grandmother) Mary-Jane Collins in Exeter Cathedral.
